Ayous wood comes from the Ayous tree, originally a softwood. Thermal modification strengthens the wood and gives it increased durability. This makes the wood resistant to moisture, insects and mold, extending its lifespan. The light color and subtle grain structure of Thermowood Ayous give a natural look. The advantages of Ayous wood, such as lightweight and sturdiness, are combined with the advantages of thermal modification, which minimizes warping and cracking.
