Description
The Porsche Panamera Turbo represents the combination of sports car performance and luxury travel comfort that Porsche is internationally known for. The model has been developed according to the brand's technical principles, seamlessly combining performance, balance and driving comfort in a four-door Gran Turismo.
At the heart of it all is the 4.8-litre V8 biturbo engine, equipped with two exhaust gas turbochargers that ensure a high engine fill level and powerful torque over a wide rev range. Thanks to direct fuel injection, advanced engine management and efficient thermal management, the engine delivers instant throttle response and smooth, linear power delivery. The combination of high specific power and a wide range of torque makes the powertrain suitable for both sporty driving and long distances.
The power unit is coupled to the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that enables fast and virtually interruption-free gear changes. In combination with Porsche Traction Management (PTM), engine power is intelligently distributed to all four wheels, contributing to optimum traction, stability and driving precision in a wide range of conditions.
Depending on the version, the Panamera Turbo also has Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which electronically adjusts the damping to the driving conditions.
