Ottobock Back was developed together with logistics experts and employees of warehouses and parcel distribution centres. The exoskeleton works according to a biomechanical principle: the load is removed from the shoulder like a backpack and redirected to the thighs with the help of the support structure of the exoskeleton. The energy storage absorbs force when bending and releases it again when lifting.
This leads to a noticeable relief of the lower back of up to 25 kilograms. The heart of the system is the purely mechanical control at waist height – a technological world first. This can distinguish between bending and walking and switches off automatically when walking to ensure full freedom of movement. The support force can be infinitely adjusted to the load of different work steps on the rotary knob.

• Non-EU buyers must return a copy of the electronic export declaration (EX-A with MRN - for verification only) or, if the value of the goods is lower, a completed export declaration with a stamp from the EU border customs office to export.de@troostwijkauctions.com in order to get the deposit refunded.
