This is a popular engine from the late 90s/early 2000s, mainly used in sailboats and smaller motorboats (e.g. 25-35 feet). It is known for its relatively quiet running (for a diesel), economy and solid construction. Many of these engines have already run for tens of thousands of hours without any problems if properly maintained.
