Remarks
Please note!
For Dutch buyers and buyers from outside the EU, the Rest-BPM is on top of the bid amount. The Rest BPM is € 468 and is not included in the total price when bidding. The total price does not include BPM. This scheme only applies to buyers within the Netherlands and buyers outside the EU.
For buyers within the EU, a deposit equal to the BPM is required. The Rest BPM will be refunded to the buyer by bank after the correct registration of the vehicle in the country of residence within the EU.
For further information about BPM, please consult the auction information, which can be found at the top of the homepage of our website.
If you have any questions about the BPM scheme, please contact our customer service and/or the tax authorities.
Please note – Terms and conditions of sale:

Given the age and mileage, traces of use or (technical) defects may be present. It is the buyer's responsibility to inspect the vehicle during the viewing day.
The buyer is expressly requested to inspect the vehicle in person during the viewing day.
By participating in the viewing day and/or proceeding to purchase the vehicle, the buyer acknowledges and accepts that:
• The vehicle is sold without any form of warranty or complaint.
• The seller bears no responsibility for any defects, errors or deviations.
• The buyer accepts the vehicle in the condition in which it is at that time.
After purchase, no rescission, compensation or repair is possible, regardless of the nature of any defects that come to light after delivery.
Come to the viewing day and assess the vehicle for yourself.
Additional details
This is a public auction, which means that the lots in this auction cannot be returned on the basis of the legal right of withdrawal. In addition to online bidding, it is possible to attend the closing of the auction and to place bids in front of the auctioneer in the auction room. The closing of the public auction will take place at Troostwijk Auctions, for more information you can consult the specific auction conditions.
BPM:
In accordance with the Dutch legislation on the taxation of passenger cars and motorcycles (BPM), it is confirmed that the BPM has been paid in full for the relevant Dutch cars offered for sale on Troostwijk Auctions. However, the sales process involves an administrative adjustment where the residual BPM is removed from the bid amount for foreign buyers, as the selling party is eligible for a refund of the residual BPM. This price structure results in an advertised 'export price' for foreign buyers.
It is important to note that Non EU buyers and Dutch buyers who choose to register the car on a Dutch license plate and continue to drive will see the BPM amount stated on their invoice and must pay it. The remaining BPM amount is stated in the lot description under additional information. This administrative arrangement is therefore intended to ensure that the transaction runs smoothly and meets the needs of both foreign and Dutch buyers, while ensuring compliance with the requirements of Dutch tax legislation.
Deposit:
We require a deposit from EU buyers for the recovery of BPM. This is in line with EU rules. This will ensure that the tax is paid and the necessary documentation is submitted for recovery. The EU country's required registration ensures the legitimacy of the transaction.
For EU buyers, requiring a security deposit for the amount of BPM to be recovered is a legally acceptable practice. This is based on the principle of freedom of contract and the possibility of setting conditions on the sales agreement.
Under EU law, in particular the Value Added Tax (VAT) and Excise Tax Directive, Member States can set conditions for reclaiming taxes such as BPM for vehicles exported to other EU countries.
Requiring a security deposit is a legitimate condition to ensure that the amount to be recovered is paid in BPM and that the required documentation is submitted to justify the recovery. This practice ensures that the seller is protected from potential losses while also allowing the buyer to secure the chargeback.
The condition that the official registration must be received from the EU country in question strengthens the legitimacy of the transaction and ensures a transparent procedure for both the seller and the buyer.
The minimum age for visiting the viewing and pickup days is 18 years. Visitors must be able to identify themselves.
There is no forklift available during the collection day.
Pay easily with iDeal via your Troostwijk Account. It is not possible to pay in cash or by PIN. For purchases made through GC Auctions, the right of withdrawal does not apply. This means that, once you have placed a bid and won the auction, the purchase is final and cannot be cancelled or returned. We therefore advise you to carefully study all available information about the vehicle and carry out any inspections before placing a bid.
By participating in the auction, you agree to these terms and conditions.

• Documentation: Don't forget to bring the correct documentation for the export and/or registration of your lots.
