The Trabant 601 S De Luxe was a version of the Trabant 601, a car produced in the GDR by VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke Zwickau. The 601 was built from 1964 to 1990 and was the best-known model of the Trabant series.
S De Luxe equipment: This was a more luxurious variant with, among other things, better upholstery, trims, sometimes chrome details, and extra comfort features compared to the standard version.
A rare Trabant 601, one of the very last 2-stroke cars produced by VEB Sachsenring around the fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989. Although the car received a Fahrzeugbrief in the GDR on November 15, 1989, it was never officially registered at the time.
After the fall of the Wall, a few 4-stroke Trabants were built, but compared to Western cars of the time, they were outdated. This example therefore has a special historical value as the last 2-stroke model.
In the 90s, the car was sold to Sweden, after the friends of the Jännaholm Museum, where it stood in its original condition until 2024. The import to Sweden was done via Bilprisma Rantzow AB (current Porsche dealer in Malmö) with a pre-registration (blank registration) on July 4, 1990. The vehicle received an official registration number, but was not registered at the time. In 1997, the car was sold by Bilprisma Rantzow AB to the museum, where it has remained unused ever since.
It was not until 2024 that the car was officially registered for the first time when purchased by the current owner. The car is still in an exceptionally original condition, with an actual mileage of only 123.4 km.

There is no forklift available during the collection day.

After you have won the car and the payment order /PO# order is ready in your account under 'my purchases', you must pay for it online via the Troostwijk-Auctions website or Troostwijk-Auctions app. Please make sure that all your account details are correct that should be on the invoice, we cannot adjust this afterwards.

After handing over the indemnity or a copy, you or your transporter can take the car with you.
Delivery of the won car is also possible. Within the Netherlands (with the exception of the Wadden Islands) this costs €165 excl. VAT. After you have paid for the car, the transport will be scheduled and the car will be delivered to you on average after 5 working days from the collection day. We can also take care of deliveries outside the Netherlands, for questions or quotations please contact transport@automotive-auctions.nl.
When you receive the lot, we ask you to sign for a good reception. This indicates that you have received the lot correctly and completely. Always check your lot upon receipt.
