Description
This impressive, life-size rhinoceros is a fully hand-painted polyester art object by muralist and visual artist Lonneke van Zutphen. Known for her large-scale nature works, she brings flora and fauna together in powerful, daring compositions — also in three-dimensional form.
The sculpture is executed in a rich botanical theme with tropical leaves and flowers flowing over the rhinoceros' body. The layering, brush structure and colour effect give the sculpture depth and liveliness from every angle.
Patterns of dollar bills are incorporated into the floral details — an artistic statement about the economic drivers behind poaching. This makes this work not only visually impressive, but also content-loaded: an ode to an endangered species and a call for awareness.
This artwork is:
• life-size and monumental
• completely hand-painted
• signed (2025)
• unique — one copy
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
• a guaranteed eye-catcher and conversation piece
Part of the proceeds will benefit rhino protection.
