LBB Bohle - VMA 300 - Single Pot Granulator - Retrofitted in 2015

Bohle Vagumator® VMA 300 V 300 Liters Pharma Mixer/Granulator This Plant is designed for the intensive and efficient mixing and dispersing of wet granules and subsequent vacuum drying. The machine can handle batch sizes of between 40 and 130 kg. The VMA is suitable for a wide variety of pharmaceutical granulating applications and operates with three production stages in one bowl: 1. Mixing 2. High-Shear Wet Granulation 3. Vacuum Drying This plant is currently fitted with a heavy-duty mixing tool to give optimum granulation Performance. Additionally, the chopper avoids agglomeration and – if the product is wetted – it assists in the forming of even sized granules. There are Top Drive units to prevent product from sticking to the seals of the mixing assembly. This ensures longer life cycles of the seals. The discharge outlet in the center allows controlled emptying of product and complete emptying of water after cleaning. The construction of the plant allows quick and easy cleaning. At the previous installation, the production area was separate from the engineering area. In 2010, a chiller type HYFRA VWK 70/1-S for the Vacuum Condenser was retrofitted. This chiller has a cooling capacity of 6,6 kW for 32° C. In 2015 the control components were replaced and upgraded according to the actual standards. All operator controls are located in a separate operator panel with a visual display unit. This plant is offered complete with two Single Type Advanced N1-90-18-80 Temperature Controllers which were Retrofitted in 2015.
