Lancia Appia Berlina SIII Berlina 48hp 1959
The Lancia Appia is a passenger car that was introduced in 1953 by the Italian car manufacturer Lancia as a replacement for the Ardea, and which remained in production for ten years. The Appia was the last in a long line of Lancia production cars dating back to the Lancia Lambda (introduced in 1922) which used a sliding pillar front suspension. All three series produced had a 1089cc Lancia V4 engine.
Third series: In March 1959, the third series Appia was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show with a new front. Lancia's traditional shell-style radiator grille was eventually abandoned in favor of a horizontal one inspired by the flagship Lancia Flaminia. Engine power went up again to 48 hp, as did the top speed, to 132 km/h (82 mph). The braking system was improved with double front drum brakes and a "Duplex" double hydraulic circuit during the 1960 model year. The model designations were different from the previous two series: 808.807 for the LHD variant and 808.808 for the RHD variant. In the third iteration, the Appia finally came of age and 55,577 sedans were made, the vast majority of which had left-hand drive on the left.
The Lancia Appia that we offer here was imported from Italy a few years ago and already has a Dutch registration. Due to its age, the Lancia no longer needs an MOT inspection, after 50 years old-timers in the Netherlands are exempt from this technical inspection.
Equipped with a great rally look, entirely in the style of times gone by. Martini, Agip, Magneti Marelli, all important sponsors in the Italian rally past. This Rally cut looks great on this Lancia Appia, a truly Italian tailor-made suit, many thumbs up along the way!
The current owner has driven two classic rallies with this classic Lancia, one of more than 400 kilometers with the local business association and a charity rally at the invitation of the rotary.

The minimum age for visiting the viewing and collection days is 18 years. Visitors must be able to identify themselves.
There is no forklift available during the collection day. Pay easily with iDeal via your Troostwijk Account. It is not possible to pay in cash or by PIN. After you have won the car and the payment order /PO# order is ready in your account under 'my purchases', you must pay for it online via the Troostwijk-Auctions website or Troostwijk-Auctions app. Please make sure that all your account details are correct that should be on the invoice, we cannot adjust this afterwards. Please note, you will receive the registration codes at the pick-up location. If you wish to receive them earlier, please email info@automotive-auctions.nl. This is recommended if you are not picking up the car yourself. After handing over the indemnity or a copy, you or your transporter can take the car with you. Delivery of the won car is also possible. Within the Netherlands (with the exception of the Wadden Islands) this costs €165 excl. VAT. After you have paid for the car, the transport will be scheduled and the car will be delivered to you on average after 5 working days from the collection day. We can also take care of deliveries outside the Netherlands, for questions or quotations please contact transport@automotive-auctions.nl. When you receive the lot, we ask you to sign for a good reception. This indicates that you have received the lot correctly and completely. Always check your lot upon receipt.
