a special and rare Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint from 1964, one of Alfa Romeo's last true Gran Turismo's with the legendary straight-six engine.
Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro during his time at Bertone, the 2600 Sprint combines timeless Italian elegance with cutting-edge engineering for its time. Under the long bonnet lies the all-aluminium 2,584cc DOHC in-line six-cylinder engine with twin overhead camshafts, derived directly from Alfa Romeo's successful racing and sports car experience. The engine delivers around 145 hp at 5,900 rpm and is known for its silky smooth running, characteristic intake sound and impressive suppleness.
The 2600 Sprint has three twin carburettors, a five-speed manual gearbox – a rarity in a GT at the time – and rear-wheel drive. Thanks to the independent front suspension, rigid rear axle with carefully tuned geometry and all-round disc brakes, the car offers excellent handling characteristics for a classic from the sixties.
