ÄKTA flux 6: Tangential filtration for biomedical applications
The system enables the ultrafiltration of proteins and peptides as well as the microfiltration of cell suspensions and lysates. Depending on the separation requirements, filter cassettes and hollow fiber cartridges can be used. The diaphragm transfer pump produces a stable tangential flow while the delivery and retentate pressure are measured to calculate the transmembrane pressure and Delta P.
The pumps can be controlled via the touchscreen interface and critical parameters can be continuously monitored. Configurable thresholds trigger an automatic shutdown depending on the defined volume or pressure. The operational data is stored in an internal database, which is managed via individual password access and can be exported to CSV or PDF format.
