For sale is a rare collector's coin from the series "Legends of the Rail" with the motif of the famous steam locomotive "Rheingold".
The coin was issued by Liberia in 2001 and shows the legendary locomotive in front of an impressive Alpine backdrop. The coin is delivered together with the original certificate of authenticity.

Background:
After the First World War, the train "Rheingold" was launched. In 1928, the first "Rheingold" sailed from Hoek van Holland to Basel in Switzerland. With its characteristic violet-beige carriages, it was considered one of the most luxurious trains of its time and became a symbol of comfort and long-distance travel in Europe.
