Description
Decorative collector coin in the style of a 2 euro commemorative coin with a colour depiction of the historical region of Aukštaitija in Lithuania.
The obverse features the coat of arms of Aukštaitija with the traditional equestrian motif "Vytis", flanked by angel figures and the colours of the Lithuanian national flag. The inscription "LIETUVA" and "AUKŠTAITIJA" refer to the important cultural region in northeastern Lithuania.
The reverse is based on the well-known motif of the European 2 euro coins with value indication and map of Europe.

Aukštaitija is one of the oldest and culturally most important regions in Lithuania. The traditional equestrian coat of arms "Vytis" is one of the most famous symbols of the country and stands for Lithuania's historical identity.
