About this Collectable
The Austin Metro was presented in the early 80s as British Leyland's modern answer to the compact city car. Designed as the successor to the Mini, but with more comfort, space and practicality, the Metro became one of the most recognizable British cars of its time.
This example is an Austin Metro 1000 from 1983, finished in black. The Metro 1000 is equipped with the compact A-series engine, known for its simplicity and robustness. Thanks to its low weight, short wheelbase and manoeuvrability, the Metro was ideally suited to both city traffic and country roads, where it felt surprisingly mature.
The Metro combines typical British engineering with a characteristic design that has become rare today. Where many copies have disappeared due to intensive use or rust, original Metros are now difficult to find. That is precisely what makes this model interesting for fans of British classics and compact cars with their own identity.

After handing over the indemnity or a copy thereof, the car can be taken away. There is no forklift available during the collection day.
