Description
A special and characterful Ford Model T Speedster from 1913, built in the tradition of the legendary Speedsters from the early twentieth century. This type was inspired by the sporty versions that were built at the time for enthusiastic young drivers, including the famous Speedster that Henry Ford had manufactured for his son Edsel to his own design.
This Ford combines the charm of the pioneering years of the automobile with a strikingly sporty appearance. Thanks to the authentic Speedster construction and the many period-correct details, this is a car that attracts attention everywhere and is instantly recognizable at events, rallies and historical gatherings.
A lot of history is known about this car. For example, it has been part of museum collections in both the United States and the Netherlands. In addition, the Ford participated in various historic racing demonstrations, both in America and in Europe.
The car has several period-correct tuning parts that were also popular among performance enthusiasts in the 1920s:
• Buffel quick-change wheels, a rare and widely used competition version at the time
• RAJO top-valve cylinder head, an iconic upgrade from the early years of motorsport
• Gearbox adapted for higher cruising speeds, allowing speeds of over 100 km/h
• Stromberg 97 downstream carburetor, a classic performance component that was also used on Lincoln V8 models
Furthermore, the car is equipped with period-correct copper lighting and a brake light, matching the appearance of the early automobile period.
The Ford is well maintained, technically sound and can be used immediately for rallies, tours, historical events and demonstrations. A special example for the collector who is looking for an early car with charisma, history and driving pleasure.
