- >> Mega's Club 'Tjaffer' is an exceptional automobile, produced by the French Aixam group between 1992 and '98. You may remember it from the legendary quartet card craze during those years. In fact, based on a Citroën AX, it became available with a 1.1 or 1.4 petrol engine, or a 1.4 or 1.5 diesel. But above all, it is a modular leisure vehicle, which, depending on the need or taste, can be converted relatively easily into a coupe, convertible, estate or pickup. The car has a plastic body on a galvanized chassis. We also suspect the different motorizations are interchangeable? _ _ _ _ Because of its stubborn appearance, multifunctionality and the Citroën technology, the similarity with a Méhari was naturally made. But the Mega Club /Tjaffer is a more fully-fledged and modern means of transport; more solid and better able as a 'daily driver'. It has front-wheel drive as standard, although a real 4×4 was also available (of course derived from a four-wheel drive AX, but due to the lack of low gearing, you can't speak of a real off-road beast). _ _ _ Our Mega then, is visibly proud of his pedigree, but that 'peer-pressure' is really not necessary, because it's just a fun gadget in its own right! Moreover, it is in good and nice condition, so Start & Drive smoothly too!
