About this lot

The A. Costa LEOPARDO is a robust industrial calibration machine for the highest demands in woodworking. This model is in overhauled condition, all major wear parts have been replaced, and the machine is fully functional and ready to use. Thanks to its solid design and powerful dual drive technology, it is ideal for companies that want to process large quantities of material reliably, precisely and with a high working width.
The machine has a stable tool shaft, a strong chain-driven feed and a heavy cast iron machine bed, which ensures smooth running and constant quality of work. The large working area and solid mechanics make the LEOPARDO a durable and performance-oriented solution that can easily cope with tough continuous use.
With a working width of approx. 620 mm, a working height of 5–160 mm and a variable feeding speed of 4–12 m/min, the machine offers a wide range of applications in solid wood processing, calibration and industrial pre-processing. The LEOPARDO is designed for high removal rates and, due to its completely overhauled condition, is extremely attractive for production companies looking for a reliable and robust solution.

Remarks:
The machine is in excellent, overhauled condition. All relevant wear parts were replaced, including bearings, feed components, knife shaft close parts and mechanical guide elements. Thanks to the extensive overhaul, the LEOPARDO runs very quietly, precisely and at full power. The machine was only minimally used after the overhaul and therefore shows almost no signs of use.
The tool area, feed unit and machine bed are in clean, well-maintained condition with no significant wear and tear. The electrical system, the control panel and the control cabinet are fully functional, all switches, displays and safety functions work perfectly. The motors run cleanly and powerfully, the feed works smoothly and without vibrations.
The machine also makes a very good impression visually: the paintwork has been revised, covers, mudguards and controls are complete and in neat condition. The machine is free from oil leakage, structural damage or corrosion spots.
Result: A fully functional, professionally overhauled and extremely well-maintained industrial calibration machine, which is technically and visually in an above-average condition and can be used immediately in production.

Frequently asked questions

How do I place a bid?

You can easily participate in the auction through the website. Log in as usual and navigate to the lot of your choice. On the right side of the screen, you will find 'Bid' and 'Auto Bid.' Click on 'How does this work' for more information about automatic bidding.

Click on 'Bid' to see the total amount of your bid, including the buyer's premium and VAT. After accepting the general terms and user conditions by checking the box, click 'Confirm' to place the bid.

What is reserve price?

A reserve price is the (non-visible!) minimum amount that a seller has set for a lot and is the lowest price for which the seller is willing to sell. The highest bidder who meets or exceeds this price wins.

If this price is not met, you can still have a chance to win. The closer your bid is to the reserve price, the greater your chance of winning this lot.

The lot is awarded to the highest bidder whose bid is equal to - or higher than - the reserve price at the end of the auction. If the highest bid has met the reserve price or more, the lot is sold immediately for this price.

What costs are added to my bid?

In addition to your bid, additional costs are incurred in the form of a buyer's premium percentage and VAT. These percentages vary depending on the country. VAT is applied to both your bid and the buyer's premium. Before confirming your bid, you will always receive an overview detailing all relevant amounts associated with your bid, including the final total. This way, you are fully informed about the total amount of your bid.

What is an auto bid versus a manual bid?

An auto bid is a way for you to automatically participate in a bidding process. You enter an amount you are willing to pay for an item and then automatic bids are placed for you up to your maximum bid - but only if necessary. Your maximum bid is hidden from other bidders during the auction. Placed auto bids are indicated by an "A" after the placed bid in the bid history. You need to update a manual bid every time someone outbids you. Keep in mind that an auto bid in the same level as a later manual bid will always lead the auction - because it was placed first.
