About this lot

3-person; equipped with carriage lamps, whip and (bowler) hat, horse holster; leather hood; facet slept windows; manufactured in Groningen, A Prins Albert, was built around 1910 by carriage manufacturer and stable owner Brukker from Groningen. The carriage is named after Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, the husband of Queen Victoria. This hunting wagon was widely used on the farms in Groningen and East Frisia. Albert went out a lot in such carriages and that is the reason why the type got its name. The one in Leek has a front seat and a rear seat. The latter can be folded, but can also be rotated. This makes getting in a lot easier, but does not improve seating comfort at all. The hood can be removed in its entirety. (Margin, no VAT)
