About this lot

For Porsche enthusiasts; Porsche 944 Turbo S. A real original Turbo S from 1988, also known as the Silver Rose only in a different color. (They are supplied in several colors, only then they are called Turbo S instead of Silver Rose). The Porsche 944 Turbo S has 250 hp and had the following standard options: Specific: - M030 suspension with 928S4 brake calipers, adjustable Koni all around - M220 limited slip differential - AOR gearbox with reinforced 1st and 2nd gear - NEVER NO TARGA version - Sound package with 10 speakers - Fabric interior with split rear seat backrest -Air conditioning - FORGED rims - Door handles with Porsche inscription Including the Silver Rose, 1635 Turbo S were made and only in the beginning of 1988. All the others are just normal turbos with 250hp. Engine code M44-52 series 47j, only this code shows a real Turbo S engine. If you want a real special 944 then this is your chance. Rarely is a real Turbo S offered. As far as I know, 62 black ones have been built. It currently has an American rear bumper. Please note; this is not an American car! It is a European Porsche 944 Turbo S. The car has been in a private collection for years. We didn't try to start the car. This will have to be checked first. The car drives fine, went into the collection without any defects. The car has a Dutch registration, if the car has to be exported we can arrange the export papers for € 50.

Frequently asked questions

How do I place a bid?

You can easily participate in the auction through the website. Log in as usual and navigate to the lot of your choice. On the right side of the screen, you will find 'Bid' and 'Auto Bid.' Click on 'How does this work' for more information about automatic bidding.

Click on 'Bid' to see the total amount of your bid, including the buyer's premium and VAT. After accepting the general terms and user conditions by checking the box, click 'Confirm' to place the bid.

What is reserve price?

A reserve price is the (non-visible!) minimum amount that a seller has set for a lot and is the lowest price for which the seller is willing to sell. The highest bidder who meets or exceeds this price wins.

If this price is not met, you can still have a chance to win. The closer your bid is to the reserve price, the greater your chance of winning this lot.

The lot is awarded to the highest bidder whose bid is equal to - or higher than - the reserve price at the end of the auction. If the highest bid has met the reserve price or more, the lot is sold immediately for this price.

What costs are added to my bid?

In addition to your bid, additional costs are incurred in the form of a buyer's premium percentage and VAT. These percentages vary depending on the country. VAT is applied to both your bid and the buyer's premium. Before confirming your bid, you will always receive an overview detailing all relevant amounts associated with your bid, including the final total. This way, you are fully informed about the total amount of your bid.

What is an auto bid versus a manual bid?

An auto bid is a way for you to automatically participate in a bidding process. You enter an amount you are willing to pay for an item and then automatic bids are placed for you up to your maximum bid - but only if necessary. Your maximum bid is hidden from other bidders during the auction. Placed auto bids are indicated by an "A" after the placed bid in the bid history. You need to update a manual bid every time someone outbids you. Keep in mind that an auto bid in the same level as a later manual bid will always lead the auction - because it was placed first.
