• Important online auction of machines and equipment for civil engineering

  Cologne, 4 January 2012 - The internationally renowned industrial auctioneer Troostwijk auctions in Cologne will sell machines and equipment for civil engineering of the insolvent Company Brückner Grundbau GmbH i.I. by an important online auction. The offered machines ranges from rotary drilling rigs, rope excavators, crawler anchor drill rigs, construction machines to construction equipment and a vehicle fleet.

• Agricultural contract companies under pressure

  Amsterdam, 17 November 2011 - Largest auction of the year for Troostwijk Auctions.

  A lack of efficiency, difficulty in finding personnel and high cost of maintaining the machinery. These are common problems in the agricultural sector that forced the owners of agricultural company Loonbedrijf Baert, after 77 years to stop their own business. Troostwijk Auctions will auction the machinery and the remaining household on December 12. It will be an auction of about one million euro’s, the largest auction of the year for Troostwijk.

• Bauknecht/Whirlpool dishwasher manufacturing plant to be sold

  Köln, 13 October 2011 - International auctioneer Troostwijk Auktionen GmbH & Co. KG has announced the sale of a fully integrated dishwasher manufacturing plant located in Neunkirchen, Germany. The plant was operated by Bauknecht and Whirlpool Europe and is available for immediate sale. Interested parties have until 17th August 2011 to bid for the machinery and equipment.

• Inventory Opel Antwerp up for Auction

  Antwerp, 17 May 2011 - Antwerp, 11 May 2011. A large number of goods from the ex-Opel plant in Antwerp will be offered for sale on the auction website Troostwijk NV. In a six-day sale from May 23 to May 30, bidders have the opportunity to bid on more than 6,000 lots including 500 robots, metalworking machinery, warehouse equipment, workshop equipment, mass catering equipment and offices.

• From Under The Microscope to Under The Hammer

  Sheffield, 10 March 2011 - Troostwijk Auctions have confirmed their instruction by the Forensic Science Service (FSS) to conduct an unprecedented online auction sale of forensic science equipment. On Thursday 7th April the virtual hammer will fall on hundreds of nearly new analytical instruments and specialist forensic science equipment as part of the FSS’s ongoing transformation.

• End of Train Production in Prague: Everything Up for Auction

  Prague, 22 January 2011 - In 2008, production was at full throttle at the Siemens plant out at Zličín in Prague. Today, the production is now history. The huge production hall has been changed into a “supermarket” where people are arriving to view the large choice of drilling machines or lathes. They can try to win them in the online auction.
  What Siemens did not transport back to Germany was sold to Troostwijk, a Dutch auction company, which is now selling the lots on the Internet until January 28th, 2010. Wednesday and Tuesday were the viewing days at the plant to see the physical components.

  Sheffield, 17 December 2010 - The former Hyundai factory in Dunfermline, Scotland, dubbed locally as the ‘Hyundai White Elephant’ is set to be transformed into a centre for the renewable energy sector. Hyundai’s original plans to open a semi conductor facility never came to fruition, despite the £80 million spent on installing top of the range site utilities. The site has changed hands several times since Hyundai’s exit, firstly being sold to Motorola and subsequently to Freescale.

The number of unique visitors to their website increased by 250%, visiting primarily insolvency auctions.
